Football Lover’s Chili
1 1/2 to 2 lbs ground beef
1 cup onion, chopped
2 tbsp chili powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp hot pepper sauce (or to taste)
One 14-1/2 oz can diced tomatoes with chilies
Two 15-oz cans kidney beans, light red, drained
One 15-oz can chili beans in chili gravy
One 32-oz bottle tomato juice
Brown ground beef and onions; drain. Combine in 4-quart slow cooker with other ingredients. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
Top with your favorites — salsa, sour cream, chopped green onions, cheese, etc.
