Amaretto Mascarpone Fondue
1 1/2 cups mascarpone cheese
2 T. sugar
1 1/2 T. amaretto
1/2 t. orange extract (optional)
1/2 t. ground cinnamon
1/2 t. ground nutmeg
Grilled or broiled peaches, pears or nectarines.
In a saucepan, heat cheese over low heat, stirring constantly, till melted. Stir in sugar, amaretto and extract. Heat for 1 or 2 min. more. Transfer to fondue pot and keep warm.
To grill or broil fruit:
Brush melted butter over fruit and grill or broil. It only takes a minute or two, don’t let the fruit get too soft.
