Ultimate Chocolate Fondue
1 1/4 cups heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 1/2 bars (6 ounces) Ghirardelli 70 percent Cocoa Extract Bittersweet Baking Bars, chopped
1 1/2 bars (6 ounces) Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Bar, chopped
2 tablespoons chocolate liqueur, optional
Dippers such as strawberries, large seedless oranges, fresh pineapple chunks, pieces of cake or cookies
In medium saucepan at medium heat, combine milk, vanilla and butter and heat until mixture just simmers.
Remove from heat and stir in both chocolate bars and liqueur, if using, until completely melted and smooth.
Serve over heat source that will keep it warm, but not hot.
Dip in strawberries, large oranges, pineapple chunks, cake or cookies.
Makes 4-6 servings.
