Olaf Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla Frosting
I used my old stand by cake recipe for the chocolate cupcakes that I’ve been making forever. They are so moist and full of chocolate flavor. I got 24 cupcakes from one recipe. I frosted them with an easy vanilla frosting.
This frosting is so easy to make. Have the butter at room temperature. Beat it until light and fluffy. If you are piping the frosting on like I did this recipe will only frost 20 cupcakes. With a knife it will be enough for all of the cupcakes. If using sprinkles put on immediately after you frost each cupcake or they might not stick as well.
Vanilla frosting with chocolate cupcakes
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 4 cups confectionery sugar
- dash salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 5 - 6 tablespoons milk
- Cream the butter and confectionery sugar together. Add the salt and vanilla. Mix well. Add the milk and continue to beat the frosting until light and fluffy.
